Divisional Courses

I. The Undergraduate Program

  1. The Mechanical Engineering Division

    This division aims at equipping students with basic knowledge and theories of core courses, including mechanical materials, CAM, thermodynamics, thermo-conductivity, machine design practice, CAD, automatic control, the experiment of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and fluidics. It also focuses on elevating students' practical skills of different professional subjects, such as automobile engineering, sheet metal technology, casting technology, mechanics, drawing and refrigeration & air-conditioning.
  1. The Electronics & Electrical Technology Division

    The instructional content of this division includes basic theories of microprocessor, sensors, control system, computer network, digital electronics, signals and system. It also emphasizes the practical instruction and special topics of different professional subjects, such as electronic information and electrical control. The theories of mechanical-electrical integrated control are also provided in special courses.
  1. The Interior Design Division

    Design is a practical philosophy that integrates aesthetics into engineering. This program emphasizes the comprehensive planning of interior design, as well as the applications of aesthetics and chromatics, and the combination of different materials. It aims at equipping students with the abilities to make architecture design, interior design and perspective design. This programs provides professional and practical courses, such as interior design practice, human ergonomics, architecture & interior design, working drawing, techniques of expression and furniture structure.

Upon completion of study, graduates receive a degree of Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Education.

II. The Master's Program
  1. The Industrial Education Division

    This division focuses on the fields of VET instruction and administration, educational inspections, research methodology, statistical analysis, evaluation, vocational training and certification system, management of human resource, managerial psychology, etc.
  1. The Electronic & Electrical Engineering Division

    This division emphasizes the instruction and research in the fields of information and control technology, such as computer-aided software engineering, image processing, the structure of computer network, object-orientation database, fuzzy control and single chip control.
  1. The Mechanical Engineering Division

    This division offers courses related to mechanical design and manufacture, such as strength and fracture of materials, finite element methods, destructive testing, phase transformation analysis, casting, welding.
  1. The Interior Design Division

    This division focuses on instructional researches related to interior design, such as the introduction of systematic analysis, the practice of design management, material experiment, furniture & interior design, and the structural analysis of furniture and architecture.

  2. Technological application management Divisions

Upon completion of study, graduates receive a degree of Master of Engineering or Master of Education.

III. The Doctoral Program

The program offers research courses in the fields of TVE philosophy, TVE inspections, the applications of fuzzy theorem to education, the theories of learning in TVE, the manpower forecasting and the TVE planning.

Upon completion of study, graduates receive a degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

IV. The Two-year Mechatronic Technology Program for in-service instructors or technicians

This program enrolls junior college graduates from the department of electronic & electrical engineering and the department of mechanical engineering. It aims at enhancing students' knowledge of related basic theories and practical competency according to their educational background. It also emphasizes the instruction of professional courses, such as mechatronic integration, automatic control and automation.
