EMI full-time faculty position opening

The Department of Industrial Education at National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan invites applications for the following full-time, tenure-track position in Technological and Vocational Education and Training, Career and Technical Education, Workforce Development, or related fields.

1. Qualifications:

-Candidates who have at least a domesticor foreign doctoral degree or have assistant professor qualifications or above issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.

-Position: Full-time Assistant Professor or above

-Openings: 1 position

-English efficiency: upper intermediate(CFR B2) or above (must provide certification)

-Candidates must fulfill one or more of the following qualifications:

(1) For novice teachers: Candidates whohave not had full-time teaching experience in a college or above within 2 years(excluding male military service) from the date of recruitment announcement
since obtaining a doctoral degree.

(2) Have published two articles in the journals indexed in SCI, SSCI, SSCIE, TSSCI, EI, A&HCI, THCI (formerly known as THCI Core) with first or corresponding authorship in the past three years.

(3) Have received grants for at least tworesearch projects from the National Science and Technology Council (formerly the Ministry of Science and Technology) in the past three years as the
principal investigator.

(4) Have been granted at least one national or international utility patent or have won international competition awards annually on average in the past three years.

(5) Have received grants for at least one research project in Academic TDP, Industry’s Special Project or Industry-University Cooperative Research Project in the past three years as the principal investigator with proof of achievements provided.

(6) Exceptional performances in the industry (applicable to professional technicians) with proof of achievements provided.

*Please note: To be considered, the aforementioned qualifications must have been obtained between December 8, 2022, and December 8, 2025, including journal articles accepted or published within this timeframe.

2. Expertise:

Candidates must meet one of the followingqualifications and have the ability to teach EMI (English as a medium of instruction) courses:

(1) Technological and Vocational Education and Training

(2) Career and Technical Education

(3) Workforce Development

(4) Other closely related fields

3. Application Documents:

(1) Completed application form (the blank form may be downloaded here)

(2) Photocopy of the doctoral degree diploma and transcript. (If the degree was granted by a university outside of R.O.C., both documents should be verified by the R.O.C. embassies, consulates, or missions abroad.)

(3) Certificated documents of NSTC Research Projects (which can be downloaded from the website of the NSTC.)

(4) Proof of research achievements and academic publications (the cover of the PhD dissertation, tables of contents, the abstract, photocopies of prizes or honors, the cover of publications, etc.)

(5) Two letters of recommendation regarding your working ethics, studying attitudes, personal relationships and moral sense.

(6) Any supporting documents which can provide additional information about the applicant’s background and qualification is welcomed, such as teaching experiences, etc.

4. Application Deadline: December 8th, 2025 according to the postmarked date

5. Submission Instructions:

(1) Please submit one (1) hard copy of the application dossier, except for the recommendation letters. All documents and materials should be bound and sent through registered mail to the Department of Industrial Education, NTNU. Dossiers postmarked by December 8th, 2025 will receive full
consideration.

(2)Please submit the completed application form to Ms. Lin via email in an editable format (e.g., .docx or .odt).

7. Notes

(1) The applicants who pass the preliminary review will be contacted through email for secondary review interview. The applicants who do not pass the preliminary review will not be notified and their application materials will not be sent back. Those who notified for secondary review interview but not showing will be regarded as giving up applying.

(2) The applicant who gets hired should abide by “National Taiwan Normal University Faculty Evaluation Regulations.”
